Oakham Ales – Bishops Farewell 4.6%. A strong premium beer of structured quality, dominated by elaborate fruity hop notes, with a grainy background and dry finish. www.oakhamales.com

Banks's Brewery - Amber Mild 3.8%. Crafted with the finest ingredients to deliver a really easy drinking beer. A deep gold in colour it comes with malty, hoppy flavours and clean finish with fruity overtones. Great with a packet of pork scratchings or a hot pie. www.marstons.co.uk

Summer Lightning, Moonshine, UBU, Butty Bach, Proper Job are some of our favourite guest ales. Suggestions are always welcomed so do let us know if you have a favourite.

Vale Of Welton Brewery

Located at Home Farm Stables in Welton, Vale of Welton have been making cider since 2005 starting with the original Poachers Cider, a 7.2% abv gem named in honour of the gentleman who helped plant the first orchards. This was followed in 2012 by Black Jetty, a 4.8% abv cider for those with enough hair on their chest already and 2015 saw the launch of the sweeter Rose Hill.

Vale of Welton ciders are a regular feature at The White Horse.
